Here's what amazes me most about Red Lake Rosie's Rescue: each year they bring in the Rural Area Veterinary Service for a week and treat hundreds of animals for FREE. RAVS provides exams, treatments, wormings, spay/neuters, other needed surgeries, vaccinations, etc., on any cat or dog on the Reservation. In 2006, 6 vets, 2 techs, and 26 vet students from as far away as Glasgow treated a total of 522 Reservation animals---all for free---and handed out 150 Humane Education kits. What Karen Good and her volunteers are able to accomplish is truly astonishing, inspiring, and heartwarming. We at Stray Feral Rescue heartily support Red Lake Rosie's and encourage others to do the same.
